Wild Root Rug
Wild Root Rug
The Wild Root Rug will ground you in your habitat with its dynamic root design, thick texture, and golden honey color. Designed using real Lake Superior driftwood, this rug brings both movement and stability to any place in the home.
At 24 x 35 inches, the wild root rug makes a statement in your living room, bedside, kitchen, or office space.
Normal Upkeep
Clean your rug by vacuuming with the hose attachment of your vacuum cleaner and/or shaking it out. The rotating brush of a vacuum cleaner can twist or break the fibers of your rug, so avoid running the vacuum over it and opt for the hose instead. Do not run it through a washing machine or dryer.
Tufted rugs are for indoor use only. Use in entryways or for wiping off shoes is not recommended. You can use your rug in a bathroom setting, but I don’t recommend using it as a shower or bath mat as yarn color may fade/run and the rug will need to be hung up to dry after getting wet. However these rugs are perfect for beside the bathroom sink!
Your tufted rug may shed yarn and fibers, especially early on. These are leftover from the making and trimming process and are normal. Sprouting tufts (longer pieces of yarn which are still attached to the rug) are also normal and may occur over time. You can trim the protruding fibers with scissors.
Like with any carpet or rug, high traffic use, direct sunlight, and crushing by furniture will eventually create wear and tear on your rug. If the felt backing begins to peel off, you can reattach using fabric glue or a hot glue gun.
Stains
Try to attend to stains immediately.
For dry stains, carefully scrape and vacuum away dirt, crumbs, and stains.
Remove wet stains by using a paper towel or undyed cloth to absorb the stain. Use lukewarm water and a cloth or sponge to dampen the stain, soak up the water with a cloth, and repeat until the stain fades. Avoid drenching the rug to preserve the glue binding holding the tufts in place.
Hanging your rug using the provided metal clips
In addition to providing comfort under foot, your rug makes an incredible piece of statement wall art. Please note that due to the handmade nature of these rugs and their soft fiber material, their edges may not be perfectly straight and square. I’ve provided two strong, stainless steel clips, already attached to one edge of your rug. Feel free to remove them or move them to a different edge.
Simply clip the metal pin on either corner of the edge you want at the top. Simply set the metal loop of the pin over a nail or pin in the wall. You can also nail the rug directly to the wall.
